The skype call went very well and we have all decided to move forward together! I will not use full names for privacy reasons or if they tell me it is okay. E and R have been together for 25 years!!! E is an investor, R is a physician. They live in Argentina! Wow! How is that for exciting?! I had a wonderful journey last time and expect I will again. I like to make my life as interesting as possible. I think working with an international, gay couple will definitely keep things interesting! :) I am excited about moving forward. The next step is medical and psychological screening. I am waiting for contact information so I can schedule an appointment.
I have forgot to check this blog for a long time. I must do better! So...is there language barrier issues on top of international stuff? You, my friend, sure do keep life interesting! Thanks for keeping us posted and I will do my part by keeping up on the reading.
ReplyDeleteLaura - there is some language barrier. However, 1 of the guys speaks fluent English and translated some for the other. The other man understood most of what I was saying if I talked slow and simple and when he spoke English, I mostly understood what he was trying to say. All these "challenges" are what it makes it even more interesting! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see this evolve!! How does this work when it's time to deliver? Do they come to central IL and stay for the birth and take baby home sometime after that? Soooooo exciting!!
ReplyDeleteThey want to be present at delivery, so I am guessing they would arrive a little before the due date and stay as long as necessary. Details have not been worked out yet. It really is a great adventure to be part of.
